Antelope County Warrant RecordsAntelope County Warrant Records

Gather a full name, date of birth, and any case number before you search. Nebraska JUSTICE is the statewide court-record starting point for Antelope County, while the County Court clerk, District Court clerk, and sheriff answer different follow-up questions. Start with the case. A warrant lookup can show a docket event, not a complete live status, so save the court, county, and register wording. For a traffic or ordinance matter, call County Court. For felony process, call District Court. Use the Law Enforcement Center for custody, bond, and service questions.

Searching for a Warrant in Antelope County

When you do not know which court holds the case, begin with the official JUSTICE one-time party-name search. It costs $17, returns up to 30 records, and warns that new entries may take 24 hours to appear. Results stay viewable for three calendar days. Search your own legal name, or a family member's name with permission. A similar name is not a match. Write down the court, case number, filing year, and exact register entry before calling any Antelope County office to ask what it means.

  1. Search JUSTICE by party name and accept the terms.
  2. Narrow by county, court type, case type, year, judge, or attorney when those options are available.
  3. Read the register of actions and document images where the record permits access.
  4. Call the issuing clerk about a warrant, return, recall, payment, hearing, or commitment entry.
  5. Use the sheriff for service, custody, surrender, and bond logistics.

Antelope County JUSTICE Search Fields

The public landing screen keeps things spare: a party-name field, a terms checkbox, and a Begin Search control. The Nebraska Judicial Branch description names more filters for narrowing a case. Those fields are what separate a real Antelope County case from a name match elsewhere in the state.

The official JUSTICE landing page provides the search entry point itself. It is not an Antelope County warrant list.

Warrant Search Fields Explained

According to the Nebraska Judicial Branch case-information page, a public case may show parties, offense information, financial information, a register of actions, judge notes, and document images. The whole record is built around a case, not a single active-warrant switch. For Antelope County traffic, misdemeanor, municipal-ordinance, and preliminary-hearing matters, the County Court clerk is the practical interpreter. For a felony or District Court order, call Angela Mortensen, Clerk of the District Court, at 402-887-4508. Either call goes faster with a case number. Read past the first warrant entry, too. A return, appearance, bond, payment, release, or recall can change what a historic "warrant issued" line means today. The official case-information source explains the public record scope without exposing any one person.

Antelope County Name Search Limits

A JUSTICE no-result can mean several things. The 24-hour entry lag, a spelling difference, a former name, the wrong county, a different court type, a juvenile or sealed record, or a system that simply shows no warrant badge. The Antelope County sheriff posts no public active-warrant roster to fill that gap. When all you know is a city, search statewide instead. Tilden sits in both Antelope and Madison counties, and an incident may be filed where it occurred rather than where the person lives. Keep the search date and the exact terms you used.

A no-result is a search outcome, not a legal certificate. Call the issuing clerk when the concern is urgent or the record does not fit the notice.

What Antelope County Warrant Search Shows

A matched case can yield a case number, court, county, parties, offense information, financial entries, dates, judge, register events, and public document images. It may still show a warrant event without answering whether process is active today.

Warrant or document numberUse it with the case number when a clerk or sheriff asks for a process identifier.
Issuing courtCounty Court handles traffic and misdemeanor functions; District Court handles felony and general-jurisdiction process.
Register of actionsLook for issue, return, bond, payment, hearing, release, or recall entries.

Antelope County Results Need Clerk Confirmation

Do not ask the sheriff to interpret a court order, or a city clerk to certify a County Court docket. The right office depends on the record. Kristina Sehi, Antelope County Court Clerk Magistrate, is listed at 402-887-4650 for traffic, misdemeanor, municipal-ordinance, preliminary-hearing, and payment matters. Angela Mortensen, Clerk of the District Court, is listed at 402-887-4508 for felony files, District Court writs, orders, and process. The sheriff's 402-887-4148 line covers law-enforcement, custody, bond, and service questions. Give each office a narrow question tied to the case number. The official court records policy sets out courthouse access and record-search procedure rather than any named record.

Where to Check Warrants in Antelope County

The warrant search chain here has four parts: JUSTICE for the public court index, County Court or District Court for the filing and the remedy, the sheriff for process and custody, and the city or village contact for local routing. Antelope County has no separate justice-of-the-peace office or municipal warrant portal.

Antelope County City and County Checks

City police in Antelope County can tell you where a case started, but the filing court controls it. Neligh runs its own department. Tilden's city police cross county lines. Current county board records describe sheriff and deputy service agreements covering Elgin, Orchard, and Clearwater, including help with municipal ordinances. None of that creates a public city warrant list. For a citation or city ordinance matter, get the filing court from the city contact and then call County Court. Ask the Law Enforcement Center about custody or bond. For a driving-privilege problem, request compliance information from the court before calling DMV. The city name is just a clue. The case number, county, court, and date do the real work on any Antelope County warrant check.

Antelope County Restricted Warrants and Access

Public access is not full access. Antelope County juvenile records carry confidentiality and sealing limits under sections 43-2,108 and 43-2,108.05. Section 84-712.05 also allows withholding, including qualifying investigatory material.

Check the boundary: A sealed or juvenile record may not appear in the public search. Ask the clerk what public, non-exempt information can be provided instead.

Search warrants follow a different privacy path. Arrest warrants are usually public. Search warrants often are not. Nebraska section 29-813 sets out the search and seizure process judges follow. Antelope County requesters can ask for a public return or a filed case by date or case number, but a name search will not reveal every investigative record.

Antelope County Records Request Route

When the online case record falls short, send a specific written request under the Nebraska Public Records Act. Name the office, the case number, the record type, the date range, and your preferred format. Antelope County courts and the sheriff field these requests. Ask for a cost estimate too. Also request the statutory reason for any denial. The court records policy says a case number makes copies easier to locate. Court employees will not certify that no record exists. In Antelope County, a records request cannot replace an urgent call about your own active warrant. Never ask for a list of everyone with a warrant. Request a known docket entry, warrant, return, recall order, commitment, or release record instead.
